In general you will find that there are pages on which you can edit, and some pages on which you can only comment.

Please sign in to your account first, then navigate back to the Footnotes Channel site (linked above). On the top right corner of each page, whenever editing or commenting is possible, you will see a button

To enter a new block you can enter “/” and you will see a menu pop-up of different basic blocks that you can add in.
