My name is Bifolia and I’m a performing artist and researcher working in the International Institute of Inter-Species Art (IIISA) since 2035. We are researching ways of collaborative art making with other species and learning and communication possibilities with other species via art. From human side the Institution is also interdisciplinary having e.g. artist, psychologist, and biologist in the team. Currently I’m participating in a project where we create installations in collaboration with spiders. Since my youth (late 2020’s), when I got my aunt’s diaries from early 2000 of her ecological art projects and her concerns about the biodiversity, I have been interested in ecological questions. Additionally, the possibilities of art to communicate and contemplate the eco questions interests me. Note, I have a pretty strong fragrance round midnight due transplanted plant cells – so if you are very sensitive for odours we should keep distance during night time.
